Many projects, organizations, and companies are moving toward sustainable, regenerative solutions for the planet. However, most sustainability measures miss a critical component – the perspectives, values and well-being of stakeholders.
The Sustainability Sweet Spot: Sustainable Well-being for All
As the Founder and President of OneNature, Beth researches and measures impact in communities with conservation organization partners. This research and these well-being measurement tools and solutions are useful even beyond the nonprofit conservation sector. Community and stakeholder well-being drives true impact and underpins financial and environmental sustainability as well.
Environmental Sustainability
Beth has extensive experience in conservation and has dedicated her career to environmental sustainability and biodiversity protection. She has engaged in all aspects of conservation work through her work at the World Wildlife Fund, the International Fund for Animal Welfare, The Nature Conservancy, the National Wildlife Federation, and OneNature.
Financial Sustainability
She has a master’s in business management and experience working in business – leading campaigns with online tech companies such as eBay and Etsy, researching and understanding the well-being of fishermen in Massachusetts, and engaging in conservation-oriented licensing and promotions partnerships with Dannon and other companies. She understands and appreciates the importance of financial sustainability.
Social Justice and Well-being
For the past 10 years, Beth has focused her research and work on understanding the vital role of social relationships, equity, and well-being in the success of projects, organizations, and companies. Without understanding and supporting stakeholders – communities, employees, customers, and partners – projects, organizations, and companies will not be able to achieve their long-term financial or environmental sustainability goals.
Strategic Leadership
She is a recognized leader in the intersection of conservation and human well-being and has developed a process and toolkit for measuring and understanding community values and well-being through objective, subjective, and photo-voice methodology.
She has successfully developed and led strategies and projects and has experience in program management and operations. Beth has successfully produced and moderated high-level expert panels and has skillfully facilitated stakeholder workshops. She has convened and coordinated partnerships and coalitions, led collaborative research, and communicated findings in diverse media, including peer-reviewed academic papers, reports, newsletters, and social media communications.
Collaborate with Beth
“I appreciate Beth’s work and what she brought to our project. I was truly impressed by her organization, ability to connect with people, thoroughness, and insight. I’ve put together teams of consultants for years, and I’ve had to sort out lots of problems, but I know Beth can handle sticky situations and deliver in a responsible and timely way with a new and fresh perspective.”
